Is created using simple drawing pens with a variety of nibs. It's a very mindful process as there are no distractions from worrying about colour, it's just a series of different marks brought together to form an image (usually of a bird). I sometimes add a touch of gold paint or gold leaf to soften the black but otherwise these pieces are kept as uncluttered as possible.
