Welcome to the first Thrive event! As this is the first Thrive event, it is priced at an introductory offer.
Tuesday 5 March, 10am - 4.30pm, Littleborough Cricket Club, OL15 9LD
Thrive is a full day business retreat, aimed at sole traders but open to anyone who is interested in how self care can improve productivity and creativity, and as a result business and personal growth.
The event brings together a group of experts that I have been fortunate to work with over the years, and that I have developed a massive amount of respect for. Between them they have an in-depth knowledge of health and wellbeing. Perhaps most importantly they are all, or have been, sole traders so they are fully aware of the stresses and strains of working alone and of being your business's major asset.
There are many opportunities to develop your business skill set, and there are also many self care sessions available, however I believe the opportunity to explore self care as a business skill is limited.
Thrive will cover topics such as back care; posture and stretching; nutrition to aide creativity and wellbeing (especially during those furiously busy winter months); developing a growth mindset and meditation to encourage a 'still' brain. There will be opportunities to participate in a specially designed relaxation session, talks that will help you reframe the way you look at your role in your business, and time to ponder the things you have seen and heard. All of this will take place in a relaxed, safe environment. I encourage you to attend in comfortable clothing and to bring a yoga mat, woolly socks and a blanket with you.
Guest speakers for the day include:
Lynne Midwinter - owner of Physio and Therapies, Todmorden. Lynne is a Chartered
Musculo-Skeletal Physiotherapist who specialises in the spine and headaches.
Lorraine Hogg - self employed
Naturopathic Nutrition Therapist who helps people get back on track through good nutrition.
Clinton Perren - Business Development Consultant, Retired Pro Cricketer and Sports Coach who is well versed in encouraging and helping develop a growth mindset. Clint has performed at the highest level so knows a thing or two about using mental attitude to deliver positive outcomes.
Hannah Nunn - Designer/Maker. Hannah has been running her business for many years now and is a bit of legend in the creative community.
Hannah Brabbs - Good Vibrations Wellbeing: Sound Baths. Hannah offers a fresh, musical approach to sound healing. Hannah will close the day out so that you float home!
As this is the first Thrive event, I have added an introductory price tag.
(If you want to break it down into coffee purchases, 17 big name medium coffees would pay for this day!)
I understand that it is hard to invest in your business financially, especially when things are challenging as they are at the moment. But, (and it's a big BUT) this day retreat has been developed to provide you with information and skills that will help you sustain yourself and your business over a lifetime. It aims to avoid burnout by equipping you for the future, and by allowing you to make connections with other people that can contribute to your long term wellbeing. This is not a medical retreat (even though there are medically qualified people on the programme). It is a day concentrated on empowering you to take control of your personal wellbeing, and by association the success of your business.
The day will run from 10am - 4.30pm at Littleborough Cricket Club in the Willow Room. The club has plenty of free parking and is a 10/15minute walk from Littleborough train station. A delicious, healthy lunch will be provided by Lorraine for those with a full day ticket.
I really hope you can join me for what will be a magical, informative and fun day. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email me email@example.com
Please be aware the morning and afternoon only tickets do not include lunch
